reading the patch notes of 1.04 surely this will be on console aswell and this new added location change from server hopping will help towards battling against the dupers

 

Added: Mitigation of so-called server hopping on public hives (when a player changes server, a hopping spawn point is used instead of the last log off position)

 

Hopefully this update comes this month and it returns to proper dayz!!!

their new status report:  A quick 1.04 update: we will carry out a complete server and character wipe, and will introduce private servers. Also, this update will address some of the current most troublesome issues in the game – duping, server hopping, and frame rates.

I was on the beach today trying to ambush the usual dupers that kill fresh spawns. And behold one tried to spawn inside the building right in front of me. Put my shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger point blank.

 

Needless to say, vengeance is best served in 00 buckshot
