Is the keyboard Xbox controller compatibility the holdup in development

With some mods putting some of the missing parts back into the game, and the changes. to the keyboard. 

Could it be that the compatibility of the two platform controls are holding up development?

I'd say this is probably about 90% of it.  The other 10% is dumbing the game down for the console peasants.  You know, give them a night light, reduce thirst and hunger so they can run longer.  They are a special breed you know.
