Do ruined suppressors now sound louder?

First and foremost I have actual suppressors on firearms in my home. Never in my life but I imagine a suppressor being completely ruined after only a 30 round mag. Complete horseshit! That being said the older version of DayZ didn't really bug me because even the ruined suppressors were still mildly quiet, I now have a suppressed pistol that sounds unsuppressed after maybe 30 rounds through it. What the hell is this BS? You spend hours and hours finding an actual suppressor for an M4 and then you get in a fight with four guys and at the end your gun suppressor is ruined? Dang DayZ devs you guys are killing me with the issues right now.

I noticed after a few shots with the SKS my bottle suppressor was ruined, and the audio is definitely different compared to how a ruined suppressor used to sound.

In case you didn’t know, you can repair suppressors with duct tape. Always good to keep a roll or two on ya.
