Where should I start looking

Just killed two people looting my base. They clearly have a base of their own close by. It is in Myshkino. Where should I look for their base

Howdy neighbors! I have a tent around Myshkino too! XD I'd look on top of the western hills or anywhere else that seems relatively flat. I haven't found anyone's base yet so I assume their mostly on the far edges of the map. Close to military and industrial zones or anywhere you can find a tent, barrel, etc.

Aside from a map and compass. I'd also recommend carrying a pair of binoculars. It extends your sight by a couple kilometers and the magnification is far superior to that of any rifle scope. The map i use shows elevation of the hills so its a good way to find flat ground, overlooks and snipers.

Next time your setting up a base, find a landmark or a series of landmarks that you can remember. A road, a tree stand, a hill, a bridge, a river, even a small opening in the middle of a forest. Just some spot you can recognize when you end up there again. Now you just have to remember where around that landmark you placed your base. the further away the better. And if you can, don't put it straight off a landmark. take a couple turns before you set up camp. I've placed tents next to houses, on dead end roads, 20 minutes from the coast, they've despawned but have never been found. 

Just hide it well and remember where you left it. Good luck. Chernarus is a big place.
