Sqeezorz 839 Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) The vehicles will be an important and sensitive good in the future. However, the driving is a bit "aggressive" with the current controls. You have (W) to accelerate and shift for Turbo. This leads to the fact that you are always typing on winding roads with (W) ... one more, less, more, less ... to keep an average. Now my idea: it would be better to accelerate with (W). if you now press Shift or RMB the "power value of (W)" is kept, that means you have a constant power. Letting go of Shift or RMB will release the "Hold function". The turbo option would be eliminated, but that would not be bad. How do you see it ? (The function "Hold Power should be possible as a bindable button, actually a replacement for the Turbo). Add: The same with brakeing. Wili 156 Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) I like the idea, maybe pressing one key once for hold power would be better than holding a button down constantly, pressing W or S would release the "hold function". Another way could be W for increasing power until you release W and power wouldn't decrease. For example you press W until 30% power is reached then You release W key and the car keeps going at 30% power. Pressing S would decrease power. This would be like Red Orchestra tanks controller. This way should have an extra key for instantly releasing all the power because it takes time to release the power and sometimes You just want to release it at once. Parazight 1599 Posted December 18, 2018 Personally, I wouldn't use a cruise control function. Especially this cruise-control-braking idea. Feathering the gas and/or brake doesn't seem too terribly difficult. And I don't know about this turbo thing, Unless, of course, I can loot and implement nitrous oxide. Which the game doesn't need. Which the game doesn't need. with W accelerating normally up to 100% With W + Shift you accelerate faster up to 120% The core or problem is only: with 1 key 0/1 simulate an analogue feeling. Not so easy when it comes to dynamics. Edited December 18, 2018 by Sqeezorz
