A wipe for 1.0 for community service?

Recommended Posts

I run a community server and I was wondering, when version 1.0 comes out tomorrow, will a wipe be required, recommended or not needed? Can a developer chime in?

Yes, would very much like to know if the persistence files save, and repopulate the items back on the server after 1.0?  I quit playing because why waste my time?

i guess you should wipe at least all world containers/storage.

with the last exp version, there had been some drastic changes for item sizes (only some items). BIS wiped everything except for player inventory.

Spoiler

metal sheets went from 2x1 to 10x10

alice backpack is now 9x10 (was 10x10)

drybags are now smaller

and many more

since i guess there would be some of those changed items in storage, this might lead to issues. i think it might be wise to do the same as BIS.

but i guess you could also try to keep everything and see what happens. if you run into trouble you could still wipe.
