How do you rig the xmas lights to work?

I know that the tents have a slot to drag them in but idk how to light them up. Maybe with the generator or the truck battery?

I plug in lights at generator. They work. I go into inventory to drop in xmas light tent slot, they turn off.

Can u switch them on by lock at them an press X? like the construction light

I havent tried. Literally as spon as I open the inventory the light goes out. Ima try when I get home.

When and if it's a possibility, I can see someone driving around in a 4x4, generator cranking away in the back with the vehicle wrapped in Christmas lights, just glowing away along the roads during a dark night... Duke of New York, eat your heart out! xD
