wolfleader01 3 Posted July 4, 2012 perhaps adding smokes to the loot would be a good idea, no one cares about deining of cancer in this sorta situation, and could provide a usefull boost like a temporary stim to health. or could take away hunger for a little while?I dunno what you guys think? Playing this game is a death sentence for your character, why's smoking gotta add a negative effect? :DAlso, you can find cigarettes laying around as background items around the game (even by the hospital), so there's a model of them somewhere. Just for the visuals of people smoking. Maybe you should have a coolness meter on the hud? We all imagine to be these super-badasses when the zombie apocalypse (finally) comes, so we would have to need to compensate...Maybe they could make you invincable? wolfleader01 3 Posted July 4, 2012 what do you mean? 40 a day for 2 years is nothing, my dad smoked 60 a day for over 20 years, and is still kicking, you ovbiously dont know anything about smoking and what it does to your body, its slow working.... and yes it does help you control and loose weight, google it if you dont believe meohh btw nicotene is a stimulant, but im sure you already know that :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Also, anyone within about 10 feet of you who doesn't smoke will cough, so if you're raiding a city with someone, you won't wanna smoke near them lest they attract zeds. After a while though, your character will get addicted to them and eventually start to get the shakes, similar to the pain status, except that you need a cigarette to get rid of it. Oh, and the more or less that you smoke, the more or less that you'll get the shakes. If you go too long without smoking, your food meter will start to drain faster, and the shakes will continue. As for when the shakes start, it'll go by the average time between the last 10 or so cigarettes you smoked, so getting your character to quit could take a while of weening.Another thing they could do could is make it so that you can't just find cigarettes and matches to be good forever. Maybe matches and cigarettes are limited, you find a random number of either, and your toolbelt will let you hold up to a certain number of them. Maybe as many as 20 cigs and up to 50 matches? Maybe it stops shakes and stops your food meter depleting for 5 minutes (someone else's idea, just changed the time) but it only works two or three in a row then the food meter will start again.Cigarettes could easily become a player-made currency if they're common enough.I very much like the idea.I'm sorry, trading for them isn't a bad idea (especially with an addiction meter) but I'm hoping the currency is bullets.
