My favourite bandits!

So, I had newly spawned near Cherno. I usually avoid the place, but I thought I’d take a quick trip to the apartments and the hospital to get basic supplies before getting the hell out.

On the way there I found a barn, so got myself a hatchet, aggroed a zombie, did battle, lost blood and had to bandage myself. The only other thing inside was three piles of shotgun ammo, which I took in case I found one.

I made my way to the apartments and crept inside the first one. But I only got a couple of steps before I noticed someone’s leg glitching through the stairs. I was not alone.

Now, tbh, I wasn’t really that bothered if I got shot or not – I had nothing to lose. I was also playing a female character, and occasionally roleplay a bit, saying stuff like “I’m so scared”, “please don’t hurt me, I need help” etc. Basically, lost-and-desperate-female-survivor-stuff etc.... nothing sexual - not that sort of desperate, you mucky people 

Anyway, I decided to go for it and seek help, and despite being ultra-suspicious, the two guys agreed not to kill me on sight and came down the stairs. Perhaps they were softened by my little-girl-lost routine, who knows?

One demanded that I turn to the wall when they got close, saying he was afraid of me hitting him with the axe. So I did, and then I remembered I could put it in my toolbelt, so I put it away and turned back to him. Now completely unarmed, I was at their mercy and frankly expected a head shot. But they still didn’t kill me.

We decided to raid the hospital, and because I had a hatchet, they told me to go break the glass so they didn’t have to fire off a shot and alert the zeds. This worked out fine, and we all got medicine – and still they didn’t shoot me, even though my usefulness was past.

After that, we went our separate ways.

So why are they my favourite bandits? Well, because when the guy asked me to turn to the wall HE LOOTED MY BACKPACK!!! and stole all the shells I’d gathered along with my starter pack of painkillers.

And I just love that. Instead of descending to the usual ‘meh meh kill-on-sight’ stuff which plagues the game, these two guys used their ingenuity to rob a helpless female without her even knowing!

I hope they had a good laugh to themselves when we split, because I sure did. Sometimes you just have to say, well played, good sirs.

My group has two snipers with as50's that like to hang a far bit back from the group, so normally if we find some people that aren't too kitted out (weapon wise) the main group will hide in bushes/approach the survivor(s) warn them about snipers watching so if they try anything dodgy or try running, boom. Then we either rob them or help them. I find this more fun than KoS :D

Now these people are bandits. I'd love to see more like this rather than 12-year-old retards bragging about being bandits when they just shoot anything that moves. Play CoD or something for that, this is a game for wits.

Our group tries to do things like this when we can. But every time the survivor always want's to be a hero and get's himself shot.

Ill stick with killing on sight, nothing personal to anyone its just that my groups lives, and my own life is worth more to us than another person that crosses our path.
