So i was trying editing files and setting up a automated steamcmd update,

its working fine, the only problem im encountering is that the steamcmd will validate the files and any changed settings to files like the init.c and other mission files

will be resetted on update, cause of the validate. is there a work around for this?

yes, use your own mission folder, or rename this one to something else.

Either this, or you set up a simple .cmd to restore your settings after an update - seeing as you're already automating using the SteamCMD, I can't see that this would be an issue for you. :-)
