Handing Items to other Players

So, a few days ago I saw how Sea of Thieves is about to implement a handing items system that allows the players to share resources with other teammates by handing them certain item, so they can pick it up right from your hands.

I'm talking about this

 

I don't know if devs even thought about this in the past, but it would be cool to hand someone a water bottle or a can of beans instead of leaving it in the ground hahaha.

Thoughts?

I like it, adds a bit of immersion / personal touch to sharing stuff and it's nice to just not having to comb the grass for the items your friend just pooped out and told you to pick up..

Reminds me a bit of the way the Forest does it with the tray you can use to give stuff.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
