Help with altering breath graphic? Any way to change it?

The breath graphic looks like cotton balls. I keep waiting for a better texture since it ruins immersion for me, almost as much as the text based constant nagging health updates. Is there any way to change the breath graphic or texture to a more transparent one? Any mod for it? 
I'm not looking to change how it looks to others, just the way it looks on my screen.

This game is in ALPHA which means the game is not feature complete yet. After beta is when modsupport will come and that's not coming soon. So you just have to deal with it.

Breath particle effect will likely change just like the blood particle effects in the near future. It's already been confirmed by Peter in a status report many months ago.
