Stray dog packs in urban areas

I believe that in an apocalyptic world, stray dogs will gather in packs and survive hunting in cities and other urbanized areas. They would be as dangerous as wolfs (if not more due to higher pack number and limited space to escape in cities. 

This would add some more danger to cities and some inland towns
