Newbie keybinding problem

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

WARNING: Possible incoming stupid question....

First time player, I am trying to bind my forward key as second mouse button 'mouse 2', its a dirty habit I have never gotten away from since the early days of Quake.

While I can bind this command, in game it will not work, I have gone through and deleted all possible key/command clashes but am not having any luck getting this command to function.

Thanks,

John

I have the same bad habit and was able to do it :)

Simply a matter of making very sure MB2 is not bound to anything else, I think default is "zoom"? I think there are some other bindings to MB2, just check 'em all.

iirc (been 2 years) maybe there was a binding under "commanding", not sure any more, maybe that was a different game.

Downside however is that I can not open inventory and walk at the same time, not sure why that is, never bothered to try and solve it.

BTW make sure it says "hold secondary mouse button", so make it a longer press when you assign it.

Ah yes...the dreaded "Inventory Screen Freeze" This is a bug that has been around since the beginning and is covered in the old Bug Report as being logged and is something that will be addressed.

I "think" the Arma Interface is a deeper problem that may, or may not get overhauled now that the engine is being swapped out but I sure hope so...
