C'mon man- you're going to need to do better than that.

And in "new player discussion" section? Why not... say... Troubleshooting?

You know, you kinda left out the important stuff like...

where you were

what you were trying to render

what programs were open in the background

whether you were experiencing true fps drops or a laggy connection

how long the fps drops were

etc...

I shudder to think about what your other 188 posts were like.

Yea, wot he said (don't double post) and yes fluctuating between 80 67 and 110 127 fps, depending on location.

Most frustrating, I think I'll ask gigabyte for a refund !!!

EDITED : After doing some verification in the region of Zelenogorsk (looking at and away from).

My Test Friends...

Okay... well at least now you've made an effort. I think people will be more inclined to help. With that said, from my position what with the limited background I have in the technical aspects of your question I can say with some confidence that what you're seeing is simply some early inefficiencies of the new renderer. All of those areas you're looking at / running through used to crush frames down into single digits in some cases.

Some people have had some success in going into game files and adjusting settings under the hood in ways the current game UI doesn't allow... There are, oh, I don't know- about 100 threads on optimizations and individual settings (including this one at the top of this forum:

Now, with that said, this is all based on the old tech so I'm not sure how much of that ports over.

All of the dips come at points where you'd expect there to be some dips- ie: looking into the city. As you look out to the ocean you're up to 90+ since there's nothing for the card to do and as you turn and look into the city your frames drop to 25 or so. Again, that used to bring it down to mid 10s or even lower in some cases even with my GTX980 and similar processor and in game settings. Not sure if it's because the card is still silently / invisibly rendering objects you can't see... or some other technical jargon- but nothing I saw in your video was anything I wouldn't have expected that would lead me to think there was something wrong (other than woefully under-optimized graphics ie: alpha)

So short version is your frames are dropping at ordinary places where you can expect to see reduced performance until additional optimizations are added. The community is always looking for and testing new things to squeeze every last drop out of their hardware since many spend really good money on the best hardware they can afford and expect a solid return on their investment. Use the search function... test out some of the solutions offered.

*opens Nvidia Experience to show us specs*

*doesn't use shadowplay*

Don't use whatever you're using to record this (looks very old and I'm assuming it's taking a bit from your system). Shadowplay literally makes a 1 fps impact so use it.

Put clouds, shadows, and AA to normal. Put Edge Smoothing to SMAA Normal.

Oh and btw, I didn't see anything in your video that was really concerning. You seem to be running the game just as well as any average person with specs like yours. This game may not be the 100+ fps in Battlefield 4 but it still runs fine

All solid information- but with Shadowplay comes the "recording brightness" bug which can be resolved by alt-tabbing out while recording and then alt-tabbing back in.
