Polaris is likely to be more power efficient than Pascal and also be more supported in DX12 and Vulkan APIs. At the end of the day all I care about is performance per euro, it can bake a radiation cake in my case for all I care! And at performance per euro the 10 quid a year on electricity is not really going to make a dent when deciding what card to buy.
