We know the map won't be expanded, but some of these ideas are really good. A historic town with a castle and the remains of walls would be amazing. An oil tanker out at sea, anchored or something, would also be amazing. Rocket, years ago, said he wanted proper rivers. I hope we'll see that.

 first i want to say this, great work man. 

while we are pretty sure that this map wont get expanded, this is what we want. a big, vast map with different areas. probably it can be done with the new maps that devs wanted to create. i hope next maps are bigger and take place in a modern city and countries like what there is in america.

while this are all great things, there is challenges too. engine that can handle the map and everything in it, optimizing network and performance, servers being capable of handling over 1K players (probably enough?) and bringing that much player in a server.

Interesting ideas, but I honestly don't think we'll see 1k player servers because I doubt the servers can handle that many players at one time

Unfortunately I think we'll be lucky with 200 player servers. Still these are some nice pipe dreams... maybe modders will figure out how to make a bigger map. At least DayZ 2 will for sure. :)

no i know that we can't have 1K players, i meant we need a lot of players in which servers can't handle with the current tech.

Still, my dream is a modern map with big towns and some country, different areas like amusement park with a working Ferris wheel, some stuff from sin city (vegas, poker bars and stuff), big ass stores, some countries with big houses and farm and again big store, fuel stations with an store :D, jungles with camps around and a lake that was used for teenage swimming (maybe some clothes around there) and ..... i can think of so many things right now and the atmosphere should be very good. i mean just the thought of an amusement park in the dark where there are clowns around and some wind ambient sounds is scary.

That would be awesome though even though as it would allow bigger communities of players to work together to achieve their goals.
