Unable to load tranquilizer darts into crossbow

After the most recent patch I tried to use a tranquilizer dart with the crossbow just like I always have but the game wouldn't let me load them. I made sure they were in my inventory, and had the crossbow equipped, but the ammo showed red "0" with no mags listed, and pressing R to reload them wasn't working, even though I had 2 in my inventory. The 2 I had were ones I had picked up before the most recent patch. What gives?

Try putting them on your hot bar and when you have the crossbow in your hands press whatever number the darts are under and it should load the crossbow.

Isn't this hotbar you're talking about just in the standalone dayz? I'm talking about the dayz mod.

Would it be possible for you, or anyone, to reveal which lootable buildings/heli crashes spawn the new knock-out/tranquilizer ammo? I've searched high and low, from heli crash to doghouse, and have not found any so far.
