The life of a outdoorsman , isnt always Sunshine and strolls through the woods...... We have rough nights too .

5 Snares only resulted in 1 rabbit,

Twisted my ankle while running down a river bed.

Nearly starved before I finally started catching some fish...

Resorted to eating worms just to keep myself going till the fish got collected

you'd have space for food if you left a few of your guns at camp.  and an improvised knife would let you carry an axe, so you could leave the stove and all those gas canisters behind, again for more space for food.  if you make space for food and stop by the odd apple tree or farm for 20 mins, hunger is never an emergency.

I never eat canned or looted foods.

The LongHorn currently being carried Is to make a demo video the next time i spot something worth shooting ( requested by someone )

And the beginning of this trip i was actually packed with veggies and meats , Coastal runs for netting is always a exercise in endurance .

I dont bother with axes, most of the time my fires are from sticks. The gas cans your right about.. i tend to lug around some luxery items occasionally

Plan to ditch the rifle and 9mm once I reacquire my VSS that i had on 3pp servers...

And will ditch the back pack once i have fully ghillie again...

I do the same thing with my 1pp.  I always carry an ice axe and seeds so I can grow some veggies whenever my supplies run out.  growing something like peppers with stream water will keep you safely hydrated almost indefinitely when you're way from water pumps for an extended time (I don't use the cooking pot exploit).

then maybe a shovel or hoe for farming and sourcing bait might be a better use of your back slot.  an improvised knife now does everything the other knives do, and just as well.  and finding a stone gets you a pristine improvised knife, but only fixes a regular knife to damaged.  newer knives get you more meat.
