Primitive weapons

I'd really like to see more primitive craftable weapons in dayz, for example an Atlatl (https://gyazo.com/54d91a422c5e9861beb24877923c2ec8) or stone axes, wooden mallets etc etc, the list is endless, thoughts?

actually right now in 1pp I'm playing around with only using craftable things - weapons, tools, clothes.  and not using any 'store-bought' food or drinks.  and the 2 things missing that would make it more viable is a craftable axe or saw, and a craftable digging tool (or the ability to dig with your hands).  if I had those I could go full caveman.

Although it is a good idea I doubt it would ever see much use on the combat side of things, unless they make guns increasingly rarer which I am hoping they will do. I also hope they add mechanics in the game which allow us to use our hands more like simply being able to get some sticks from a bush doesn't take a knife or anything sharp, or being able to rub your hands in the dirt to camouflage different parts of your body.

"DayZ is an open world survival video game" It's clearly not meant for combat, more like hunting etc.

ooo I like that idea.  maybe scroll over the dirt by a creek to apply mud to your face.  that has possibilities...
