Normally this would go into Dayz Troubleshooting forums to get devs help too.

Double check you aren't trying to install it to a smaller partition. It sounds like you are seeing a wrong drive. Maybe someone setup your computer incorrectly. It happens when you have memory card readers installed, and someone wipes your system and redoes the OS. They arent paying attention to the drive letters. Sometimes windows can be installed on D, if someone somehow messed up the drive letters prior.

Did dayz say C:?

He most likely would. Dayz is set to look for the correct directories. If his installs where moved like steam games mover, it maybe messed up.

It is only DayZ... I can install any other game no problem... But when installing, here is the path: Install under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

Make sure there's nothing stuck in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading folder,

unless you're currently downloading or updating something that directory should be empty.

You might want to try deleting the contents of downloading, restarting your computer and trying again.

Very likely that it can't write to the folder that it created for DayZ. At that point it would throw an error and lacking a better one it might have defaulted to saying it doesn't have enough space. That or User Access Control is not letting Steam write to the folder during install.
