Hello there folks,

As the title says, I'm probably one of the new people to the DayZ community and Arma itself. I've been constantly dying due to my lack of knowledge, since I'm obviously new as I stated above. Now to you experienced onces, I'd like to ask you for some tips on how to get yourself suited up(as in geared) and where to find decent weaponry. I'd also like a tent, and a fireplace.

Go to balota airfield/medic camp then move into cherno, as for a fire place, get some matches then get a hatchet cut a tree down, and you can make your own fireplace.

Probably will find some matches in cherno

Can find decent weapons in barns too.

You spawn, you have nothing to lose, just run around around cherno, elektra and hope for the best in a building to find a weapon to kill the zed's you just aggro'd

Try spawn at balota and go raid that airfield

Go to stary sober for decent weaponary loot.

Tents are best found in gernal stores in towns.

Fire Place = Matches + Hatchet = Chop Wood, light fire.
