Haven't played in a while, what's the current state of this game?

Recommended Posts

Apart from the different items, changed town layouts, different status ailments, changed sounds, new locations, vehicles, tents, heli crashes etc then yeah... basically the same game.

none of those things make the game better

i'd rather have 1 village and one gun but features that actually matter rather than shit ton of copy paste villages + stuff carried from the mod

So vehicles, persistence, storage items, animals, illnesses etc don't improve the game? While I agree the survival aspect is limited at the moment there are elements there. I'm hoping the new tech paves the way for updated aspects that have been developed in house to be quickly implemented.

I will point out though, your original comment included nothing to do with improving the game, merely that you would have noticed no changes from the first release of it. :)

I've just read this thread in amazement. I've been playing DAYZ on and off since not long after the MOD came out and tend to play a few weeks then give it a rest for a few months.

I think anyone saying the game hasn't developed is clearly playing it in a different fashion to the way that I do.

I play as someone trying to survive. The aim being to not be killed but to survive as long as possible utilising the items at hand.

If you looked at it from this point of view you'd appreciate the many changes for the better.

If you just want a PVP shooter there are many out there to choose from.
