My thoughts on KOS

Recommended Posts

Probably the most common thing I've seen people complaining about since I began playing the mod in 2012 was KOS.

I've made a couple of videos addressing this recently. My position is that the best way to address it is by adapting your behaviour in several ways.

I expect a better discussion here than reddit.

That was a very interesting watch man, thanks a lot! I actually play like this most of the time! Its funny how encountering people in this game can be a scary experience lol. Yesterday at the north airfield I literally stumbled on another guy, he tried to say something but fuck mate, I was so scared I ran like Usain Bolt, had just a CZsomething pistol and my FPS was kinda low... got the fuck out of there didn't even looked back hahhahahha, my heart was almost exploding tbh, my hands got funny and all that shit lol. I had my mind blown as well, how can a game do this to you hahhahaha

In other places I usually control myself better and try to negotiate or talk for a while, but them airfields man! So scary lol

Very interesting.  I have always wondered about the constant cries of KoS and is it as bad as people make out?

I must be one of the few players that has had more friendly encounters than KoS encounters - perhaps it is the servers i play on, mainly experimental.

Not entirely sure why that is but one of the things i do is never let anyone i have just met get out of my sight or get behind me...even when traveling with someone for a few hours i never completely trust them.  Like you i would rather a quick trade and chat.

Good work.

Reminds me somewhat of this video- promoting other gameplay styles and taking people out of their comfort zone to enhance their experience... Not my video- it's Toperek's... another forum guy many of you likely know.

Interesting vids, i like how you got things out in the open. I think it breaks the tension a bit. I'll try that next time.
