I have tryed all methods and got results from each! But i have question for trapper guys-where is the best place to set rabbit snare and how often do you check them? creamycowboy 139 Posted August 16, 2015 Put them away from where you are, go out of line of sight for maybe 5 minutes and check it. Usually you can place one, go loot a town or whatever and come back and check it. wasnu (DayZ) 392 Posted August 17, 2015 it takes exact 10 minutes to catch an rabbit or nothing. you have to stay min. 100 m away (or break the line of sight) from the trap until the 10 minute timer is over. i place mine mostly on the beach or dry riverstone texture. They are more visible on this textures than in the woods/grass the chance to catch an rabbit is realy low, sometimes you have to ruin 4-5 traps until you catch one.
