Can't use any of the DayZ launchers

Recommended Posts

[NOTE: I AM ATTEMPTING TO PLAY THE MOD, NOT THE STAND ALONE, PLEASE MOVE THIS TO THE MOD SECTION]

I recently wanted to play some DayZ Epoch for the first time in a while. Whenever I go to start any of the DayZ Launchers (DayZ Commander, DayZ Launcher, Six Launcher) it dosn't launch, and gives an error message, each one different for each launcher. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all launcher multiple times, uninstalling and reinstalling Arma 2 Combined Operations twice, and have done multiple PC restarts. Not one of these have changed the results, still the same error message for each one. The message are:

DayZ Launcher:

"There has been an error. Would you like to sent an error report?

Six Launcher:

Opens, but then immediatly shuts down so fast that I can't even read the error message that pops ups. No real message to take note of.

DayZ Commander:

Something went really wrong, DayZCommander is being forced to Close!

Would you like to automatically restart DayZCommander?

And thats all of em. Sorry if there was any typing errors in there, had to type out the entire error code by hand  :) .

Any help is apperciated, Thanks!

Use Steam.

I would rather not use the steam one, as very little well populated servers show up. I've tried this before, and when I try to find a server that is Epoch or Overwatch, they are usually empty. Have not found one good one yet.

That's not ou rproblem. Overwatch and Epoch have their own Forum, ask over there.

Seeing as the external launchers do nothing but use the same Steam-Server-Browser as the ingame, there's no difference.

Use Steam to launch game. If you found a server you like (there's only a handful populated ones these days), stick to it and possibly add a launchparameter to your game to be thrown directly into it. No need for bloatware.

Bump. Anyone else having this problem, or have found a solution?

Look above, and below now.
