Battleeye blocks a .dll

Recommended Posts

Recently my onboard audio failed and I had to use an older PCI soundcard (Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum), which works fine and actually sounds better even if it's from circa 2003...)

Anyway, the 32 bit driver has a .dll that is getting blocked by Battleeye when I start DayZ. It has no consequences, game starts and runs fine and I understand that Windows 7 doesn't need this .dll so I removed it and sound is still fine.

I am just curious why BattleEye would have a problem with this .dll, anyway know?

ctagent.dll

"If the message is related to the “wow64.dll” file in your Windows system directory the main solution is to uninstall Windows update “KB3004394″ from your system (see below)."

Maybe !

Thx for the reply but it is not related to wow64.dll but ctagent.dll in de sysWOW64 folder. I already solved it by simply deleting the dll which is not needed by my system. My main reason for asking is ciriosity about why BE would block this .dll, apparently it sees harm in it?
