Tents are despawning .. Why?

Hey,

 

i have a problem/question...

We found a few tents and we took the tents on a server with persistence.

We thought that the tents do not despawn.

But after a few minutes/hours the tents are despawned.

The tents were hide. I am sure that nobody have found the tents.

 

It is normal?

or did i something wrong?

Oh thank God. I had what I thought a near perfect place for a tent and it was gone after two days, which was not Wednesday. So I can't answer your question as I don't know what's the persistence status now (I think it keeps changing) but at least I can say to have had the same trouble.

With .57 while they're working on the loot economy mechanics persistence is off. Don't bother creating camps and stashing stuff for now - you will lose it all along with the hours you spent hoarding.

Logs and updates can be sometimes troublesome to follow. What's the best and easiest way to check the current status of persistence? It's changed so many times in recent months that I don't even bother to check, but it sure can be a surprise every now and then.

I find tents everywhere I go, so I pitch them on the roads. 

Gives the next player something to think about.
