majicm9 1 Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) [Resolved, Read Below] Up until now I ran DayZ through Dayz Commander, but apparently it's dead now. I tried installing the mod. Every time i would launch it it would flash the bohemia logo, then Arma II, then bohemia again, and then crash and say "Cannot load world 'ca\chernarus\chernarus.wrp" I have Arma 2, Operation Arrowhead, and Private Military Company. I uninstalled all of them and deleted the leftover files from the directory and then reinstalled them.Twice actually. And I did the thing where I launched arma 2 and OA and PMC before i launched the mod. And still nothing. I was finally able to fix this by going into the properties tab, then the betas tab and switching OA to version 1.62 and DayZ to 1.8.5.but when I click the multiplayer tab, no servers show up. I made sure it was searching internet games. I reset the filters. I even tried searching for the mission DayZ. Still nothing. I tried forwarding ports 2302-2307, nothing. I tried to install Withsix. It wanted me to download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2, which I did. Now when I try to run the Withsix install, it flashes the logofor a split second, then goes away and nothing happens. I googled the problem and i can't find a fix for it. I tried using DayZ Launcher. When I join a server, it takes me to the main menu and a little window pops up saying "Connecting Failed"I googled the problem and found nothing useful. I honestly don't know what else to do. This game seriously doesn't want me to play it. I also want to note that even after installing the mod, when I launch OA and go to the expansions tab, the @dayz never shows up, yet when i go into the directory, all the files are there. ==================================================================================== I'm going to lay out what I did to get mine fixed for people who have this problem in the future. I installed and ran Arma II, Operation Arrowhead, Private Military Company, and the Operation Arrowhead Beta (Which at this moment it says it obsolete) Installed Dayz Mod I right clicked on OA, went to properties, then the beta tab and set it to Beta - I did the same for the OA beta and set it to beta112555 I did the same for the Dayz mod and set it to the current version, which at the moment is 1.8.5 I then followed kichilron's instructions: All you need to do is the following: Go to your ARMA 2 Folder Copy the contents of the "AddOns" Folder Go to your "ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead" Folder Paste the aforementioned files into the "Common" Folder If prompted, replace existing files Download "ARMA 2: DayZ Mod" from Steam Launch "ARMA 2: DayZ Mod" Join Server using ingame Multiplayer Browser Done. After following these steps I was able to run the Dayz mod through steam and join a game. I then was able to install DayZ Launcher, which seems to be the best program at the moment, and join a server. I hope this post is helpful in the future.
