Lots of places have been 'going green', I have firsthand knowledge that solar powered street and parking lot lighting can run for years with little to no maintenance. I think these could be totally plausible in the bigger cities and not be 'game-breaking' in any way. Also, a little more moonlight couldn't hurt. Either way, I like the darkness too, even if it's not terribly attractive right now.

I would like accelerated time more if the shift from day to night and vice versa wasn't so fast as to be ridiculously unnatural. Driving along in pitch black dark and then a small bit of brightness then full day time in a matter of a minute. It just breaks immersion a bit.
