More Primitive/Improvised tools

Recommended Posts

There are certain things required for wilderness survival that currently can only be found in cities.

Namely these things include: Axes, matches, sewing kits, garden lime, string, hoe/shovel, tent.

For axes, we should be able to combine improvised knives with sticks and some form of binding in order to an improvised axe

For digging farms we should be able to make digging sticks or stone digging tools in a similar way

For matches, we should be able to construct fire by friction kits from forest wood:

Animal sinew should be able to replace rope for all purposes but should require some special process to acquire:

Bones should be craftable into sewing needles, which in conjunction with sinew can craft leather sewing kits.

Garden lime is not the only thing that can fertilize a garden or tan a hide. If you boil the brain of a cow in some water then you will produce a solution that can tan the entire hide of said cow. While the cow is alive, it will poop everywherem this poop along with blood and guts makes for a great fertilizer

With all this sinew twine and tanned hides, why not make a a hide shelter! This is the perfect place to store all of your meats!

After-all it is a survival game right?

Thoughts?

Well if you were a cow and you read that, what other facial expression would there be for you to make? :D

I'm quite interested to see how far they take the natural survival aspect of things... The more the better...

Essentially, you've just compiled the same suggestions I (and others) have made in the past. Give the original threads at least some credit.

Too bad no one updates the "list of already suggested suggestions" anymore, that sticky is unfortunately dusty...

I made this thread planning to make it only about the axe, but I guess I got carried away!
