I need a definitive answer: Does the DayZ Mod (ArmA 2: OA) global ban carry over to the Standalone?

Hi to everyone,

I've just joined this forum because I need a definitive answer and it seems the official institutions aren't able to respond. (I've sent Battle Eye an email and a question trough their site and all I got was an automated answer that didn't really answer my question).

 

It is VERY simple and there is no need to crucify me over something I did almost 2 years ago.

 

Some time about one and a half or two years ago I tried using scripts in Dayz Mod. I was very stupid back then and I recognize that.

Now the thing is: I have bought another copy of the game in other steam account (Thornwolf) so I could play the game once more (without the use of hacks obviously) and I've been playing until this day.

 

So then I got very interested in the standalone, and now I want to buy it.

The question is: can I buy it in the same account that I got global banned in Dayz Mod (ArmA 2: OA) or do I need to buy it in my alternative account?

I want to know that because it will be much better if I can buy it in my main account, because playing with my friends and sharing screenshots will be a LOT easier.

I have seen a lot of posts on this subject matter, but some of them say it carries over, and some of them say it doesn't.

BE bans are global, so yes. Oh wait, if its on a different Steam account then it should be fine.

 

You would need to buy it on your alternate account(the one without a BE ban).

Oh, okay. So I will need to buy it on the alternative account. :( Its kinda sad that Battle Eye itself couldn't give me a proper answer.
