Gas Masks and Tear Gas

I was thinking that it would be a cool idea to add a tear gas that could either knock people out or blur their vision and gas masks could protect you from it, i thought it could be like any other military spawn for grenades and stuff; but i have been thinking about WW1 recently and i remembered they made homemade gas masks to protect from chlorine gas and other harmful chemical bombs. I though you could be able to make one of these masks out of burlap or something realistic to protect from tear gas or any other gas bombs that will be in the game (if any gas bombs will be in the game). If no gasses are in the game then the homemade gas mask would still be a very intimidating mask to have in the apocalypse.

I would love to see gas masks mandatory for cooking chemicals to make explosives.. the noxious gas emitting from the pot can make you pass out and potentialy die from over cooked exploding chemicals... NOW IMAGINE THAT ! :D
