Persistence and server restarts?

Hey guys,

 

since the new patch I have a own server. But the server restarts. I thought they should not restart again because persictence is everywhere.

I opened a support ticket and that was the answer. Is that truth? If yes, whats the sense of a restart at the moment? Why tents and trucks if I cant use it for longer time?

Hope you guys can bring some light into my darkness. :)

Sorry quite don´t get this question - persistence means even after a restart tents will save and so far i know also vehicles.

Before the patch, "we" restart the server to get fresh loot? Correct?
Why we need the restarts now? We have persistence.

I cant use tents for saving me stuff because my things are gone after a restart.

This happens to several servers I play on. But down some tents on different servers. There all gone and all loot is back over all server. There is a issue with presitance on all servers. Time for devs to find out what it is. Maybe on 0.56 all is really presitance :D

I was about to ask the very same question. What's the point of a server restart now that the new loot system has been introduced?

This is quite an important matter imo, since we wouldn't be forced anymore to play the 09:00 13:00 slot, and we could start to experiment day / night cycles.

I could be wrong but I believe I read the server restart is because of a memory leak on the servers?

I dont get it. Fragnet told me, that persistence should work after today mentenance. But I found a truck, but it somewhere, get out of the truck, restart my server, truck is gone. Ok, it was a little bit broken. Could that be a reason? :-/
