battlerhd 116 Posted April 1, 2015 I can't understand why they changed all of them to suck so bad at opening cans of food.

sachad 1016 Posted April 1, 2015 It has to do with item status as well. The more damage, the more hassle opening cans. Have you ever tried opening a can with a dull, rusted knife? Not easy!

Stab top of can with dull knife, rotate can 90 degrees, stab top of can with dull knife again, pry up the four corners, receive beans. Couldn't help myself ;)
battlerhd 116 Posted April 2, 2015 To put more value on the can opener.I can understand that, but it is really quite easy to open all of a can with a knife, so opening a can with one should be good not matter how much they want to put value on the can opener

Not a big deal though. But last time I mixed a can and a knife I put the knife through my thumb instead of the can <_<

It will be called the Gews, and it will show a pony hoof spewing blood when you attempt it.
Calvin Candie 189 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) It has to do with item status as well. The more damage, the more hassle opening cans. Have you ever tried opening a can with a dull, rusted knife? Not easy!Dude, I am pretty confident you could open a can of beans with an old rusty crowbar, let alone a knife. With none of the contens spiling. Opening a can with an axe -> 100%I am pretty much sure that if I imagine a real apocalypse I see no can openers there. Ever. :D Edited April 2, 2015 by Calvin Candie
blacklabel79 949 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Best was when opening with axe gave you 114% :D Regardless... you CAN open cans even without a canopener. Altho ist a loud and timeconsuming affair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH2NahLjx-Y Edited April 2, 2015 by {Core}BlackLabel
smoq2 221 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Knives also don't seem to be able to cut out seeds from vegetables. At least I tried it on a green bell pepper with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver and there was no option, just the regular "swap item" (teal highlight). Or am I doing something wrong? On a side note, yesterday was the first time ever I had to grow my own food. I'm actually beginning to think this game might become a survival sim after all. ;) Edited April 2, 2015 by retro19
