Will both Public and Private shard characters be reset tonight in the wednesday maintenance? Apparently they will be resetting all characters. Is this true?

Agreed, the headline doesn't confirm .55, but if you read down in the comments of the link, it looks like .55 is confirmed for today.

Sorry, I get mean when I run out of vodka and can't play dayz.

The maintenance was set for 8 hours instead of just 3 so I knew it was likely 0.55 would hit stable unless they ran into problems.

Regarding the patch

Afternoon everyone. It looks like the update to 0.55 on stable will go into overtime. Estimated time for the update is at 18:00 CET.

Regarding persistence.
