more sawn-offs? blaze/repeater/SKS/CR527/SVD.... pistols?

there are "crafting recipe" more complex things coming, so i wouldn't rule anything out entirely.

Yeah it would be totally feasible to have more complex gun modifications when advanced crafting is introduced but i don't think it's worth the developers time to add a 'sawn off'  AK or SKS because almost everyone would rather have a full length one.

However since there is a sawn off Mosin and shotgun in the game i find it quite immersion breaking that you can't saw off the other bolt action and breech loading guns.

there IS another breech loaded 7.62 that can be sawn off coming. i just think there should be a lot more you can do with saws.

Didn't mean that but that'd be sweet too.  Was talking about the Takedown Version of the 10/22 so we can take it apart and store it like the trumpet.

I'm hoping that with the new procedural coloring system everything that would be spray paintable irl will be paintable in game, as long as the color choices don't go out of control and it ends up with everyone running around with pink guns.

The repeater should indeed be able to be shortened. The "Rossi Ranch hand" is a weapon I would love to have in game!

I'm aware of that, I was wondering if there was a 'plausible' way to mod a normal 10/22 into a Takedown.  I glanced at a news post on a firearms blog about someone making kits to turn your 10/22 into a takedown but have been away from the internet for a few days so I didn't get a chance to look at it better.

So many similar names crying about how we need more civillian guns and more civillian ammo 

Then you go on to post about advanced weapons crafting and turning a .22 into a charger 
yet the longhorn is pretty much the same thing {INb4 herpa derp calibre} and i have yet to loot 
a players that was carrying an Obrez or Longhorn 
Sporter is the most likely weapon to be sawn off after the shotgun 

You can shit post all you like about the iconic and historical uses of an Obrez but reality no one would carry or use it
instead of wasting time finding obscure forum post or blogs of people who guncraft niche weapons 
Fight for the whats good for one is good for the other 

Like was posted before even if it wrecks a weapon should still have a option to cut a weapon down 
my personal crusade is to have the .22 sporter become a more used and interesting firearm 
as it stands it might aswell be removed as its just a place holder that gets passed over as  military weapons
and ammo are found long before a sporter and mag can be 

And why should a person if they choose to not be able to wreck every weapon they come across 
then repair kits might be usefull or someone could set them self up as a warlord ruling with firearms and 
other have to resort to primative weapons to survive

It's just weird and there aren't practical reasons for sawing off most of the guns we have in game. Sawed-off shotguns are a real thing with some potential value, and the Obrez, despite being impractical, was historical and also heavily requested (it was added because it didn't require a lot of work on part of the devs to add.) The coming IZH-18 I can only assume can be sawed-off because of the fact that its a single shot 7.62x39 rifle and generally not the best gun otherwise.

 

You could saw down a lot more than just we have now, but it wouldn't be practical and again, would be kind of weird to see all the time. Albeit I wouldn't be opposed to a sawed-off Sporter or Blaze were they to add one, I don't think they should make that a feature for every gun under the sun.
