Bandages vs Rags?

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon forum!

As I do, I'm sure some of you prefer using Pristine medical bandages over self-made rags simply due to aesthetics. I am wondering if there is any difference between the two items in terms of how it affects your character? Do medical bandages provide more protection from the next hit, etc? I am almost certain the two items have identical use and purpose.

I find it odd how with Bandages you get four uses out of the item, yet rags can stack up to 6. Disadvantage using the legitimate medical items seems a little odd. Has anybody tested this?

Stay warm,

As of right now their is no different between the bandages, beside the rags allowing you to have 6 in one spot. I always go with rags as I can add new ones to my stack, something you can't do with the medical bandages

I hope they will be treated differently when the disease mechanics are implemented, that should happen fairly soon.

Until now I've always been swapping rags out for proper bandages when I found them, mostly because I think they look and 'feel' better, but I've also tried to justify it to myself with the thought that they seem to be applied faster.

I'm not certain if this is really the case.

Ah, I'm the same way. I just feel better using the bandages. I am excited to see the medical system develop more in the future!

I do find it odd that rags are more space efficient than rolled up bandages. 4 vs 6? That ain't right...

At the moment rags are clearly superior. You can stack them, fit two more uses per slot, and while it makes very little difference you can increase a rag's quality by adding it to a stack of higher quality rags. What's not to like?
