Furgons 0 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Hello, I have recently bought DayZ standalone and I allready have issues with it. My computer meets the minimum almost recommended settingsLaptop - Lenovo Essential G580VIDEO CARD - GeForce 710MCPU - Intel® Core i3-3110M CPU @ 2.40GHzRAM - 4GBOS - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bithttp://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/dayz/11929/?p=abut my fps is really low in game.I think the issue is that DayZ is running on the second video card (integrated one) witch is a lot worse (Intel® HD 3000 Graphics)I have tried to run them with both cards, but I think it automatically changes to Intel one.I have set DayZ to run on GeForce but I think it dosent work.I have set the lowest settings possible and the fps is running at ~20 witch is really low for my computers performance, I know that it can do much better. So I need your help to help me fix this problem.Sorry for my bad English, I hope u can understand it. If you need any more information post it please.Hope that I will solve this problem with your help.Thanks.P.S I tried to search any information about this problem on google, but no results. Jarmil_Prdel 3 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) FIRST - this game is in Alpha stage (use google to understand what it means), SECOND - this notebook is good for browsing internet, play flash games and watch movies, but NOT for gaming! Your CPU is weak, your GPU is even more weak and as I said first . . . this game is still in development and have NO optimalization, but in your case . . . optimalization wouldn´t help. Invest to new PC and keep in mind, that notebooks aren´t the best platform for gaming ;-) and please do not argue, that you can play all newest games fine . . . because thats not possible with your laptop "beast" :-P D sorry for bad news. Furgons 0 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) I can play CSGO on max settings at 120 fps and I have played Farcry 3 on med with 60fps and arma 2 on high at 50 fps so I dont think that my computer is that shit and I dont think that DayZ should be running at 20fps on the lowest graphics when it looks like pixels. And, when we we get to a final release of the game, you'll probably be in good shape. Right now, however, while the game is still in development you'd still be getting crap FPS if you had an i7 and a GTX980. In other words, we all get crap FPS. This guide may help you get the game to a point where it is playable:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=216291078 Don't spend too much time with the launch parameters, as many have been depricated. The possible exception is the -winxp parameter. If it does not cause your machine to crash, it could give a nice boost to performance. Concentrate instead on editing your config file. Second, if it isn't: Lower your object detail down to very low, texture detail to medium, Anitaliasing off, Post processing off, Arthroscopic filtering off, shadows off. It will provide a lot of information about your Nvidia GPU, including the percent load. The load may indicate a lower amount than you expect, due to the game's antique video engine. But, if GPU-Z shows zero load, then your suspicion may be correct. Edited March 17, 2015 by BleedoutBill
sneakydudes 278 Posted March 17, 2015 Your bottlenecking, i too have a dell i3 and the cpu just cant handle it very well without a great graphics card. I found turning anti-alis off seems to improve fps and also turn off clouds. Shadows i am not sure what to say there. My gaming rig on the other hand was 4 grand. The laptop was about 800-1000 and it didnt have a good graphics card on it because it was designed for business. Too bad it was 17inch.

Probably its because the game is still in alpha. Well I guess im fucked at the moment.Anyways thanks for help everybody I guess I will have to wait when the game optimizes.
