Reload animation for magazines

Recommended Posts

I suggest that if you want to reload a magazine for a AK or M4 for example there should be a a animation that shows how you reload the magazine and the time it takes depents on the size of it.
So it would be more realistic and if you only have one magazine you have to chose carefully if you gonna shot or not.

I hope I´m not the only person who would appreciate that in the game.

I agree. This would be especially great for the variety guns, because 10/20 round magazines would load quickly and thus you might want to have some of them in reserve, while 30 rounds would be the "default" and the 40 round magazines would take a bit longer.

And very large magazines like the 7.62x39 75 round drum or 100 round beta CMAG (apparently planned) would take a good amount of time to load. You could do the same thing for machine guns, having to manually put bullets into the tray on a belt piece by piece.

Now, I don't think we need to per say have to play a slow animation of watching all 30 rounds be loaded into the magazine but it has to take a good amount of time to where it's balanced and is an incentive to use a magazine-less rifle more often.

I'd like the reload mechanic to receive an overhaul in general. If you have no magazine, pressing R should chamber a round. If you have something like a Mosin or an SKS each round should be put in one at a time (making clips pretty important). Same goes with loading rounds into clips and magazines. Maybe not one at a time, but it should certainly take a few seconds at least.

I like the idea of larger magazines taking longer to load, especially given the presence of those 75rnd drums.

Sure why not. But I got a suggestion when putting a magazine in a gun have the actual magazine in your hand putting it in you gun(this might be in but I can't see it actually hapen).
