Bug... or was I shot...?

Hi... I just logged in and I am fully geared, gorka helmet with visors, full military outfit, weapons, food, ammo, etc. I was on top of the firestation climbing down the ladder and I instantly died. Only one other player on the server, I doubt he was near me. Is this a bug or did I get shot in the head? I heard nothing which is why I posted this.

Hard to say, but some people do spend an incredible amount of time looking at firestation towers through their scopes.

Oh, the ladder. I wasn't paying full attention while reading and was thinking of the stairs.

I wouldn't know much about the ladder bugs as I haven't touched a single ladder, not even the deerstand ones, in my entire time with the standalone. The mod scarred me, it scarred me for life.

Wait, you mean the ladder outside the firestation? I didn't even know stuff spawns on top of the firestation tower. 

 

I have no problems with ladders, but I think that particular one is prone to being buggy, since it was the only one you could glitch through the wall of the firestation tower, in the mods. If somehow you get caught up in the collision mesh of the ladder or firetower you die instantly. Something bad about how collisions are handled in the game engine. Really hope that will go away with the new engine!
