Hiding under beds and in other places.

Hello, I believe that it would be cool if Day-z Standalone had a Hiding system similar to the Outlast hiding mechanic, For example, if you are near a bed or closet ect, you can have an option to hide under or inside of the object. This is so you can hide from zombies inside buildings easier, and other players. Here is an example on Youtube.

Yeh this is a feature that could be added, and I don't see why not. Obviously though maybe not a priority, but I think you thought that yourself to :)

Snake Plisskin hides under beds and he's the realest man there is.

By going prone and "sidecrawling" I believe players should easily be able to get underneath a bed, in addition it might make it easier to grab loot from under a bed

i'd also like to see some form of climbing and maybe a way to hang. 

 

some form of wallcling like MGS

 

auto-cover system that makes sure your clunky arma animations don't stick your face out over the wall

 

 

 

 

 

 

currently there are only 2 places i know of that are LEGIT hiding places.

 

 

1) behind boxes in hospital

2) outhouses can be closed and you can get into them as if they were lockers.

Good idea I love it but then you would have people who hid under beds in houses with good loot and whenever someone came in they would get blasted. And would it work as a scroll animation or a player go prone sort of thing and you do it yourself? I see it as a good idea even with some of the negatives that people can think of, I doubt that it will be implemented. We can only hope though right?

And once all the "real men" are dead, those wise enough to choose their battles will have plenty of freedom to redefine the term.

 

I could see this mechanic working kinda like a vehicle: an animation to get in, and a loss of zed aggro; but only with the options to open hiding place, get in, and close.

Under beds, inside wardrobes and dumpsters, there are tons of places to hide.  Seems good as long as we can't scope the doors to a high-traffic building from the safety and concealment of a dumpster two blocks away.
