Dayz lags slowly but increasingly until it is unplayable and makes me restart my whole computer.

Recommended Posts

Dayz used to work fine for me and lately I start the game fine and after about 10 minutes of playing my fps starts dropping and the audio gets really buggy.

I have no launch parameters, I have uninstalled/re installed the game, I tried verifying my cache but still no luck. I can play Crysis 3 on max settings with no problem so it's definitely dayz. The big issue though, is that when the game gets to where it is unplayable and I exit the game, my pc is extremely laggy on its own and I have to reboot in order for it to stop. I have no idea what is causing this but it is very frustrating. Thanks for any help I get.

PC Specs:

Intel Core i7 4770k

Nvidia GTX Supercharged 770 2GB

8 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram

1 TB HDD

Sounds like something is getting throttled, check all fans and heat-sinks for operational fitness and contact.

Check your memory usage. Sounds to me like you are running out due to a leak. Was happening to me a while ago.
