I once logged in at the top of the tower on Green Mountain. Only one other player on the server. When I spawned in, he was standing right in front of me. Probably just as stunned as I was. We exchanged a few words, and went on our separate ways.

Not too sure what to tell you Bud. I re-installed my drivers and re-seated my card and the issues seem to have disappeared.............. for now anyways.

Check your memory usage. Sounds to me like you are running out due to a leak. Was happening to me a while ago.

This post describes exactly what is happening to me now. I just installed a new GTX 960 card and now have this issue. Even at menu screen on start-up I get super FPS, 80-90 or so. If I leave it sit for a while, it eventually crashes on its own to 1-2 fps and my character looks very blocky and the t-shirt looks ripped at the shoulders. Didn't have this issue with my GTX570. The temp of my graphics card drops at the same time, so it almost seems like the drivers for the card stop loading or something. Everything works great in other games. 60 FPS in BF4 on Ultra. Ran a GPU stress test, and no issues. There must be something within Dayz that is causing the problem.

Update: The pagefile fix has helped, but my ram usage does still creep as high as 75% or so. Is this normal ? for 8GB of ram ? I doubt it. It worked fine last summer, and I have had my SSD set up as it was for over a year. Something in an update has caused this "memory leak". Is it worth it to make a bug report ?

Yes, it only happens when I play DayZ and I am running it from an SSD. The pic shows what I have page filing set at now. I assume I should check the top box ?

Hi Guys, I have been having a problem lately with Dayz running low on memory. I am running 8 GB of ram. I can play for about an hour and then I get an error message from windows telling me I am low on memory and should save and shut down. I opened task manager and watched the performance tab while playing. It reached about 85% usage when I finally received the error message, and the game shut down at about 90%. I haven't played a lot lately, but never had this issue last summer when I was playing almost everyday. Any ideas what might be wrong ? Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.

AFAIK there is no "FIX" for this issue right now. It happened to me a few weeks ago, and I just kept trying different servers, normal/hardcore, until finally I managed to spawn in alive. Good Luck !!

I died in that exact same spot last week. First time exploring the ship too.

For some reason, when I have TS3 with overlay enabled, and I press and hold #1 button on the Numpad, and then release W, it stays in run mode. Works just like an autorun key. If you have TS3, give it a try. :)

Ahhhh................ That makes sense now. Thanks Sweendawg !! So will this only work if they are still alive and/or unconcious ?? So best to make sure they are dead to prevent this from happening ? Sorry for my ignorance..... Just want to better understand gameplay mechanics.

Hey Guys, I have been watching a lot of DAYZ SA vids on youtube, and hear mention of the terms Ghosting as in, "be careful, he may Ghost in" and "he combat logged". I have searched for explanation of these terms and haven't really found a good explanation of each. Can someone help me out and explain exactly what these terms mean, and why they are major issues ? WOW !!!! And here I thought I was the only freak who was so anxious, nervous and scared while playing this game................. I get teased at home too. I heard my daughter break out laughing the other day when she overheard me ask a new spawn "Would you Like Some Beans ??" :lol:
