Performance issues [Seeking Advice]

Recommended Posts

Good day fellow survivors (and moderators).

I am having an issue with DayZ SA performance on my PC.

CPU: AMD FX 8150 Zambezi 3.6 GHz at 8 cores.

GPU: MSI GTX970 4G Gaming (oc)

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 16Gb 1866 MHz (2x8)

I'm getting very low frame rates in game.

Wilderness + woods: 41 fps (with slight drop in woods)

Towns: +/- 24

Cities: 17 and lower

All the settings are on lowest except textures and terrain which are on normal.

Non of the fps guides I find help, and I was wondering if anyone here knows anything that might help?

I know that the game is still in alpha and not optimised what so ever...

But still people manage to run it on good fps.

Plz HALP -.-

It sounds counterintuitive, but it might help upping your graphics settings. It should force the game to utilize your gpu more.

What Max said. I noticed an increase after upping certain settings. Im still not getting as good as yours :(

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition 8-core 4.0GHz

ASUS GTX 970

16Gb of (i think) Ballistix RAM

So basically the same, my cpu says its a bit faster, but seems to be about the only difference. I get about 15 frames in Elektro/Cherno, 20's in small towns and bit over 30 in wilderness (this is with my scence complexity at 50000 and terrain grid at 25 :( I know the game isn't optimized, but I feel like my PC is not performing as well as it should. Let me know your results :)  (thought about overclocking, but I don't wanna break anything lol)

I know using -winxp in launch parameters helped me out a decent amount in the last patch, it seems to break it on this current build tho :(  I was getting a whopping 2 frames.

Mhmh, you could try disabling boost clokcs with rivaturner or poke around in nvidia control panel and have it run on max 100% of the time. This way you can run on lower graphics settings without fear of the card downclocking.
