DayZ Live Action Found Footage

Recommended Posts

First attempt? Not bad at all it lacked in overall content but you had some really good camera angles and added effects.  :beans:

I don't think you know what found footage means ;D

Good work, though. Try and get the shed to move with the video. Some programs allow you to track movement in a video and apply it to a static image. Even very slight movements can ruin the illusion, though I suspect that the grass swaying didn't help. Also play around with the overall brightness and contrast of the shed (get used to using curves and levels) to make it blend better with the environment. Shed seems to stick out wrong in that regard.

No particular glaring mistakes, though, which is good. I'd recommend a less obnoxious 'old video' effect in future as it got a little distracting. Could also be worth adding a little bit of movement. You could try handheld, invest in (or make) a dolly track or add a small amount of movement in post (has varying success rates) to make the video a little less static in general.

But yeah, decent framing for the most part. Good costumes and props, decent sound though I'd have gone with a different choice in music. Credits were good too.
