Battleye

Recommended Posts

I know that people are having the same issue as I am with Battleye either kicking them from DayZ or it saying Failed to Start Battleye service. I have tried several different fixes mentioned on forums and just from searching the internet but nothing has worked. Is this a problem that will be fixed at some point or is it something I am going to have to keep working on if I want to play again?

Thank You

Basic things that I would suggest:

  • Re install the game or revalidate gamefiles
  • Try to run everything as administrator
  • Disable AntiVirus
  • Manually update Battleye

But I suppose you've already done these things?

I'm in the same boat and have tried EVERYTHING.  Literally everything.  I must've installed Day Z four times this weekend.

Our best hope is that there's a hotfix coming out soon according to the devs....hopefully that'll fix it.

Give your full system specs please, including OS/AV/FW.

Type of connection and ping test results.

I did post in the right place for support right? Because it sure doesn't seem like it...

Have you tried [email protected]

It might be something that they have to fix and if they do't know about your specific issue then they can't.

Read this thread. Its for A2OA though. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?189322-Can-t-Launch-ArmA-2-OA-BattlEye-Windows-Test-Signing-Mode-Not-Supported

Battleye supposedly fixed it on A2OA. Try the experimental version of dayz, it has a newer battleye.

From what I've heard is that people on XP are not getting their DayZ to run anyway. Don't know if it is a 100% thing or just some people. If it doesn't work on your XP then it won't be fixed because it isn't supported.

thats the problem, DayZ do not support Win XP anymore. Sorry, but thats the reallity . . . so only solution for you is to upgrade your OS. Otherwise . . . XP is really outdated (I know that still works well). New era of gaming needs newer OS ;-)

First try upgrading to latest experimental of DayZ

Then try turning off test mode.

Method 1
  1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Search box.
  2. Under Programs, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following text, and then press Enter:

    bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF
  4. Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your computer.

Third thing you can try is downgrade to regular DayZ, download the dayz related battleye files here http://battleye.com/download.html

And replace old ones in this directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DayZ\BattlEye
