Preparing to Launch

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if it's an issue with the game or steam....but...

 

When I attempt to launch the stand alone, whether from the shortcut or through steam, it prepares to launch then does nothing.

 

Any ideas?

I just got a Battle Eye cmd window updating the service and I also got a small update through Steam.  Maybe it's related?  I'm not seeing any servers in the list yet but I'm sure they'll be along soon enough.

Yeah...must have been some sort of update. Never had the issue before.

 

It updated for a sec and still didn't work so I closed out steam and it worked fine....should have been more patient.

Not fixed. Restarting steam or the computer doesn't help. Revalidating files doesn't help. Screaming helps a bit.
