I'm having the same problem. I updated to experimental, got the game freeze issue when trying to connect, so I went back to stable. After downloading the update, the game won't launch. It just showed the normal "Preparing to launch DayZ" and after that... nothing!Even the colour of my avatar whitch switched to greed (in-game) switched back to blue (online) after a few secounds... Belphegor (DayZ) 25 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) i've had the same problem the day after the 0.53 update. i was hoping it would have been fixed by now but i still can't launch the game, after the 'preparing to launch' window i get this windows error message. 'can't access the device, path or file, it' possible that you don't have permission for the item' (yes, i'm logged in as administrator) any news on this issue?
