i lost my stuff randomly

Hi, I was playing yesterday and I lost connection to the server I was on, I exited out then logged back in thinking it was no big deal. When I joined back in I had lost everything and it made me respawn. Was this a global reset or something?

Were you playing on a private server? If so, make sure you reconnect to the same server.

 

Also, this is a known bug that might occur sometimes. The server you were playing on might have had synchronisation issues with the master server (which holds your characters' data of the public hive).

It can also happen on private servers (it happened to me a few times), but the chance of it happening is much less compared to public servers.

 

Some wise words people might tell you: Don't get attached to your gear ;)

Were you in a place where a zed could have nom nom nom your toon as the game logged you out? It could also he a sync issue like Liscion mentioned, if it happens again, don't move and log out immediately and try to reconnect to the server.

It happens to me from time to time and reconnecting will usually fix the issue. If it doesn't, oh well its only loot, there is plenty more to be found.

Same thing happened to me. I was outside though, so it could be zeds.

after serverrestart you have to wait some minutes!

 

if servertime is 8:00, 9:00 or 10:00 dont join. wait until it displays 8:03 or :04 then the server will be connected right to hive (public or private)

 

if you rejoin to fast, your "new" naked toon overwrite the old toon on the hive.

So, stay calm, take a drink or an cigarette and join after that without problems

If the game crashes your character will also keep moving in the direction they were travelling, this will lead to then walking off of cliffs/docks etc. they also ignore walls whilst this is happening.
